CS-10 Splitter
CS-15 Splitter
The above two units will split a smart card in to either 10 (CS-10) or 15 (CS-15) IRD's (Integrated Receiver Decoder) at a time using one original smart card.
CS-15 operates as doubler if used with two smart cards (2 cards in -> 15 'doubled' cards out), (IR) only.
The below three units will split a smart card in to either 2 (CSL-2), 3 (CSL-3) or 5 (CSL-5) IRD's (Integrated Receiver Decoder) at a time using one original smart card.
CSL-5 Splitter
All the above units will connect to each IRD and share the smart card and allows access to it in a controlled fashion. This is useful for people having a subscription and owning more than one IRD but willing to use all of their IRD's (Integrated Receiver Decoder).
Installing CSL-2, CSL-3 or CSL-5:
Insert the smart card into the combi unit.
Insert combi unit into the IRD.
Installing CS-10 or CS-15:
Place the master unit on the top of an IRD.
Insert a smart card into the master unit (contacts of the smart card are directed to ground). Insert 2nd smart card into 2nd slot for CS-15 to use doubler mode.
Connect a slave unit using the short 6 wire telephone cable on port 0 (first phone connector located nearest to the card slot) at the back of the master unit.
Insert slave unit into the IRD.
Installing remaining Slave Units:
Connect a 4 wire telephone cable with the desired length to a slave unit.
Plug in the other end of the cable into a free port of the master or combi unit.
Insert slave unit into the IRD.
Deinstalling CSL-2, CSL-3 or CSL-5:
Remove slave unit(s) from the IRD and unplug the cable(s).
Remove combi unit from the IRD.
At last remove the smart card from the combi unit.
Deinstalling CS-10 or CS-15:
Remove slave units at every port except port 0 from the IRD's and unplug cables immediately at both ends.
Remove slave unit at port 0 from the IRD and unplug it's short 6 wire cable.
At last remove the smart card(s) from the master unit.
NOTE
Test if your smart card works properly in every IRD before you start with the installation.
